Tulsa law college sponsoring volunteer event

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The University of Tulsa's College of Law is co-sponsoring an event where volunteer attorneys will be on hand to draw up simple wills for parents in the city's Kendall-Whittier neighborhood.

The law school is partnering with Legal Aid Services of Tulsa and the Tulsa County Bar Association to host the Friday afternoon event. It's part of the bar association's Day of Service campaign.

The school says volunteer attorneys will contribute their services for free and students will serve as witnesses in notarizing the wills and providing childcare services at the clinic. Translators will also be on hand.

The event will be held at the Kendall-Whittier Elementary Library east of downtown.
