Roseanne is getting roasted on Comedy Central

Comedienne Roseanne Barr is getting roasted in August.

She can dish it out, but can she take it??We'll find out this August, when?Roseanne Barr?gets roasted on Comedy Central, which has tapped the famously unfiltered comedian and actress as its next celebrity roastee.

"All I can say is good luck finding anything about me to make fun of ... I mean, I've never made a mistake or offended anyone in my life!" she said Monday in a statement.

Comedy Central's "Roast of Roseanne"?will be taped in Los Angeles on Aug. 4, and the episode will debut Aug. 12 at 10 p.m. ET.

"Although Roseanne appears to be a demure, soft spoken woman eternally committed to the status quo, we believe under the surface is an explosive, trail-blazing cultural revolution. We are honored to Roast her,? said?Kent Alterman, Comedy Central's head of original programming and production.

?Celebrating Roseanne?s unprecedented achievements in comedy and television will surely inspire us to make this Roast more reminiscent of the classic roasts, where the intimacy of friends jousting with each other came through," he added in a statement.

Past Comedy Central roastees include?Donald Trump,?Charlie Sheen?and?Pamela Anderson.

Barr, 59, created and starred in the groundbreaking sitcom "Roseanne," spotlighting a middle-class, blue-collar family in middle America alongside fellow actors?John Goodman?and?Laurie Metcalfe. She won Emmy and Golden Globe awards for her role on the show in between courting controversy for her off-set antics, such as spitting and grabbing her crotch while singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at a baseball game in 1990.

After "Roseanne," she briefly fronted in an eponymous talk show and a reality series dubbed "Roseanne's Nuts." Earlier this year, she announced she was vying for the Green party's nomination for President, with?Willie Nelson?on her short list for Vice President.
